Opportunities Near You

Regional programming offers alumni, family, and friends of Denison a variety of activities, services, and opportunities that help to enhance Denison’s visibility and reputation in your community. You can rekindle old friendships, make new acquaintances, continue lifelong learning, enjoy special events, and forge professional connections.

Denison regional events are open to all Denisonians — alumni (with or without a Denison diploma), parents of current and former students, current and former faculty members, and anyone who is simply a friend of the college.

Relationships are at the heart of Denison and Alumni & Family Engagement wants you to take full advantage of the resources and programs it offers around the country and the world.

What are some examples of regional programming?

Denison After Work is one of the most popular Denison traditions! Each January, Denisonians gather in cities across the country and around the world to celebrate the college and each other.

Denison Connecting is a networking platform bringing Denisonians together at unique interactive events around the world.

Other programming examples that may come to a city near you include:

  • Performances of a Denison student music group or a Denison alumni performer
  • Symphonic concerts or local theater productions with a pre- or post-reception
  • Private art museum events, often with a docent-led tour and reception
  • Denison athletic events with pre-event reception to support Denison teams on the road
  • Private gatherings in conjunction with local community events (parade, arts festival, Oktoberfest, etc.)
  • Denison service projects with a local non-profit (Foodbank, Habitat for Humanity, etc.)
