The Class of 1975 Celebration Book

Participating in your class Celebration Book is a wonderful way to stay connected and reflect on your Denison experience before your 50th Reunion. Since your days as a student on campus, many have had families, started businesses, gone on exhilarating adventures, and done amazing things. The Celebration Book is a place to share those experiences with your classmates and also learn more about your classmates’ lives.

All members of the Class of 1975 will receive a digital copy of the Celebration Book. Anyone who contributes a submission to the Celebration Book, donates to our class gift, and/or attends our 5oth Reunion will also receive a hard copy.

We’ve outlined a few tips to make your submission a breeze. Rather than treating this like a dreaded course assignment in the 1970s, you can plan ahead now and create a submission that you are happy to share with your classmates!

Step 1: Start off with a Word or text document and answer questions beforehand so you can review and edit at your own pace. View a printer-friendly version of the form.

You’ll be asked about things like:

  • Your career, your employers, and your fields of expertise
  • Your major at Denison, as well as other degrees or certifications
  • The clubs or activities you were involved in at Denison
  • Your family (pets, too!) and where you have lived
  • Your life since graduation — consider personal and professional areas of interest, volunteer efforts, travel experiences, areas of achievement, and surprising or fun facts about yourself
  • Your favorite memories at Denison and the people that made it special
  • What is next in your life?

If you aren’t sure what to write in your entry, use these sample profiles from your fellow classmates as inspiration!

Step 2: Once you have a starting document, complete the online Celebration Book form. You can copy and paste content from your Word or text doc into the form.

Step 3: Find and share your photos. You can share as many or as few as you’d like. Consider pictures from your time in college, as well as photos from any point of your life post-Denison that help tell your story. We can accept up to four photos for your Celebration Book entry, but you may share as many photos as you’d like from past class gatherings (as alums or students) to be used throughout the book. You can submit more photos by emailing Margie Palladino at Denison50th@reunionsreinvented.com.

Photo tips:

  • Please share the largest version of your image file, ideally around 1 MB.
  • You may take a photo of the photograph on your phone (we recommend from a birds-eye view).
  • When moving files from your phone or camera, save them to your desktop first, and then attach them to your email message (this helps ensure you share the largest possible file size).

Questions? If you have any questions about the Celebration Book form or wish to submit photos, please contact Margie Palladino at Denison50th@reunionsreinvented.com.

Please submit your Celebration Book entries by Friday, Feb. 14.

In Memoriam

To honor classmates who are no longer with us, you are welcome to share your memories or reflections of them in the Celebration Book. It doesn’t matter if you lost touch or didn’t know them well. You can share a lot or a little, but even a few sentences about a deceased classmate are appreciated. You can find a list of these classmates below.

Submit Your Tribute

Share a Word document or an email message (no PDFs, please) with your tribute to Margie Palladino at Denison50th@reunionsreinvented.com. There is no word limit for the tributes. We also encourage you to share any photos you have of a deceased classmate to accompany tributes. You may email those photos along with your content to Margie. The deadline for tribute submissions is March 1.
