Laine Ratzer '20
Account Strategist, Google
Laine Ratzer is part of Denison University's very special class of 2020, in which she graduated with a double major in economics and communication. After starting her career working from home, she moved to Chicago, where she joined a small and talented sales team at the fintech startup, Affirm. While at Affirm she was fortunate enough to experience the company IPO; a truly rare and unbelievable day for a young professional to be part of. At the end of 2021, Laine was recruited by Google to join their Chicago ad sales team. She manages a $30 million portfolio of 30 businesses and develops long-term growth plans across all Google channels.
Gabriela Perez '20
Senior Associate, EightBar
Gabriela Perez is a Mexican-American first-generation graduate of Denison, where she earned a double major in East Asian studies and global commerce in 2020. Inherently self-driven and optimistic, Gabriela began her career as a marketing intern at the U.S. Heartland China Association. Demonstrating exceptional networking skills, she secured a full-time role at Mindshare, managing the Kimberly-Clark account in the paid search department. Eager for new challenges, Gabriela transitioned to the programmatic department at EightBar, where she continues to learn and excel in a dynamic industry working with her client, IBM.
