Jeryl D. Hayes, JD, LL.M. '04
Senior Movement Building Director, If/When/How Lawyering for Reproductive Justice
Jeryl has focused her legal career to social justice and gender equity, with specific expertise in reproductive health, rights, and justice issues. In her current role at If/When/How Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, Jeryl shapes movement building strategies, evolving programs, and the mobilization of law students and legal professionals to champion reproductive justice within and beyond the legal system.
She previously worked as a public policy director for Physicians for Reproductive Health and as a policy analyst for Advocates for Youth. After earning her JD from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and LL.M. from American University Washington College of Law, Jeryl completed the If/When/How Reproductive Justice Fellowship Program, with placement in the Black Women's Health Imperative.
Jeryl is committed to serving a number of organizations in a volunteer capacity, including Denison University (as a member of the Board of Trustees), the DC Abortion Fund, Women's Information Network, and Answer.

National Development Manager, America Votes
Matthew is the development manager at America Votes, an organization coordinating with more than 400 state and national partner organizations to create a fairer, more representative democracy by increasing voter participation across the country. Prior to his work at America Votes, Matthew worked at the Brady Center, a campaign to prevent gun violence, and for the presidential campaign of former Montana Gov. Steve Bullock.
