Join Sophie Lovett ’18, co-founder of Hummingbird, for a conversation about the power of trusting yourself, the unexpected ways food connects us, and the courage it takes to follow your own path. From the corporate world to a Master’s in Food Systems in Rome to launching a company that helps families create meaningful mealtime experiences, Sophie’s journey is a testament to listening to your instincts and embracing change.

Through personal stories and thought-provoking insights, this session will explore how small choices—whether in education, career, community, or the kitchen—can lead to deeper connection and fulfillment.

Share, Lift, Lead is a dynamic one-hour virtual program that fosters connection and inspiration by sharing stories, lifting voices, and leading change. Each session features a Denison alumna who will share a personal or professional story, accomplishment, or lesson learned, setting the stage for meaningful small-group conversations.

While this program focuses on themes rooted in the shared experiences of women, it is open to all alumni who are interested in the topic and wish to engage in meaningful dialogue, foster connections, and gain fresh perspectives.

About the Speaker

Sophie Lovett is a 2018 graduate of Denison University and the co-founder of Hummingbird, a company dedicated to helping busy families create meaningful mealtime experiences without the stress of planning, shopping, or prepping. After building a career in product management and marketing across industries like education and healthcare, she earned her Master’s in Food Systems in Rome, Italy, deepening her passion for the ways food connects people and communities. Stepping away from the corporate world, Sophie co-founded Hummingbird to make mealtime easier, more intentional, and a source of connection for families everywhere.
