Charles David Campbell is an international authority on vocational development.

Mr. Campbell rose through the industrial relations ranks of the Continental Can Company, New York, and assumed his present position of director of management development and training in 1960. Last year, he was named to a three-man team sent to Japan by the United States department of Labor to review the Japan’s Minister of Labor’s national policy and to plan and program the public and private sectors’ financing of vocational training in Japan. Mr. Campbell’s presence on the team was requested by Secretary of Labor W. Willard Wirtz. He also is a director of the Council for International Progress in management, past president of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and currently member of ASTD’s National Conference Planning Committee, Management Development Forum of New York City, and other professional organizations.
