Mary Estey Nash has enriched the lives of generations of men and women through her volunteer work on both local and national boards of major social institutions.

A national board member of the YWCA since 1952 and currently a member of its executive, finance, program and budget apportionment, and USO committees, she is also chairman of its financial resources development. She is also a member of the USO Corporation, its board of governors, executive, and campaign committees. Among her other activities, she has been serving on the board other Northern Westchester United Fund, as a member of the Family Service of Westchester and Nursing Home Survey Team of Northern Westchester Hospital, as chairman of the Women’s Division for Queen’s Famine Emergency Committee (European), as a Red Cross Nurse’s Aide, Girl Scout leader, Federal Council of Churches commissioner on Marriage and the Home, and a retarded children’s teacher. She is also well-known as a lay leader in church life and a symbol of alumni devotion to her Alma Mater. Called to be a Denison alumni-nominated trustee for six years, her vigorous championship of the University has inspired alumni, especially her own class and alumni club, to its service.
