Exemplifying the highest standards and ideals of journalism, William Kuhns combines the qualities of a scholar and executive and those of a skilled interpreter of both high finance and the economy.

Beginning his journalistic career as a reporter on the Paris, France, Herald, Mr. Kuhns served the United Press as correspondent in London, Paris, New York, and the Far East. Appointed associate editor in 1930 and editor in 1937 of Banking, the journal of the American Bankers Association, he is also editor of Banking‘s newsletter and the yearbook, Present Day Banking. During the war he was a member of the Industrial Advisory Committee for the Treasury on Savings Bonds. Last year he became director of the Public Relations Council of the American Bankers Association. He has also edited a book, The Return of Opportunity, published by Harpers.
