Peggy McLouth Pschirrer is a renaissance woman. Her curriculum vitae shows her to be a certified trainer in managing organizational change, a course administrator for Xerox Learning Systems, and a training coordinator/then Director of Field Services/then Deputy Executive Director for The Association of Junior Leagues International.
Never one to rest on her laurels, she enrolled in the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1990, graduating in 1993. Following graduation, she stayed on to organize the Karl N. Llewellyn Papers. By 1995, she was a Constitutional Law Lecturer at Eastern Connecticut State University, the same year she became an associate of Marcarelli and Naizby in New Haven. In 1997, she opened her own practice, one facet of which involves serving New Haven area schools as an Impartial Hearing Officer for cases involving issues of discipline, residency, and transportation. In her “spare” time, Peggy has co-authored articles for the Connecticut Law Review, Ohio Northern University Law Review, and University of Toledo Law Review.
Her training as an attorney has enhanced her service on a number of community boards: Vice President/Trustee of the New Haven Free Public Library Board (1994-2003), Chair of the Program Committee for the New Haven County Bar Foundation (1999-2003), and Chair of the Board of the Whitney Center, a continuing-care community (1996-2000). She holds memberships in the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, New Haven County Bar Association, The Junior League of Greater New Haven, and the Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Peggy has emerged as one of Denison’s exceptionally able and effective volunteers. She was the outstanding fundraiser during her 40th reunion fund drive and impressed her fellow volunteers with her recruitment of classmates and other leaders as well as her follow-up on every initiative. Her diligence and effectiveness as National Reunion Fund Chair from 1998-2000 were equally strong. Peggy recently completed a two-year term on The Alumni Council, during which she chaired a Strategic Planning Task Force that produced a final draft of a Strategic Plan, 2000-2005, in less than six months. In yet another chapter of her Denison volunteer history, Peggy is the newest Alumni-Nominated Trustee and will begin her six-year term on the Board July 1, 2003.
