Elmer Maurice Jones is a professor emeritus of chemistry of Adrian College, from which he received a doctorate of science in 1930. His life has been full of usefulness as an industrial and teaching chemist, as an inventor, and as a consultant. He is a trustee of Adrian College as well as of the Denison University Research Foundation. He holds membership in the American Chemical Society and the American Association for Advancement of Science. For his leadership in civic affairs and for the high respect in which he is held, he has received high honors. One of his chief accomplishments has been to set a high example for others as an understanding leader of youth.
