Jill Goubeaux Clark, 1976

B.A., Denison University
J.D., Case Western Reserve University

Community Volunteer

Shaker Heights, Ohio

Whether building her impressive career from entry level to executive or building up her community, Clark has committed her life’s work and leadership to the organizations and causes she is passionate about.

Shortly after graduating from Denison, Clark joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as an intern in 1978 while pursuing her juris doctor degree at Case Western Reserve University. By the time she retired from the bank in 1996, she was senior vice president and general counsel, responsible for all legal and community affairs as well as the bank’s research library.

When her husband’s — Paul Clark ʼ75 — work brought their family to Pittsburgh, Clark began to focus her time and extensive legal, management, and teaching experience on the issues and communities dear to her, including children’s healthcare, the arts, and education.

For more than 20 years, Clark has served in leadership roles such as board member and trustee for many deserving nonprofits and other organizations, including University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UHCMC), the Cleveland International Piano Competition, Ursuline College, and UHCMC Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, where she is the current board chair.

In her Denison community, Clark continues to make a significant impact through various ongoing and past roles as a trustee; member of the alumni council, president’s leadership council, and Reunion committee; and as a frequent volunteer, fundraiser, student host, and career mentor. She gives generously to the university’s Annual Fund and the endowed fund that she and her husband established.
