Cincinnati

With a career marked by global leadership, mentorship, and a deep commitment to community service, Rob Matteucci exemplifies the values of a Denison education.

Rob graduated in 1975 from Denison, where he was a member of Sigma Chi and the men’s varsity tennis team. He earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University in 1977 and embarked on a distinguished corporate career with Procter & Gamble. Rising to the position of vice president, he led teams across Latin America, North America, and global operations. In 2005, he became CEO of Evenflo, where he guided the baby products company through a critical period of growth and transformation.

Following his corporate tenure, Rob answered a lifelong calling to teach. From 2010 to 2022, he brought his international business experience into the classroom at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. As an adjunct faculty member, he mentored students and prepared them for careers in an increasingly global economy — leaving a lasting mark on countless young professionals.

Rob’s dedication to his community has been equally inspiring. He has volunteered with the March of Dimes, coached youth sports, and serves as an advisor to the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund, where he has led efforts to revitalize athletic fields for local youth.

A loyal and active alum, Rob has remained deeply engaged with Denison. He has served on the President’s Leadership Council and supported key university initiatives, including the Global Engagement Initiative, helping ensure that future Denisonians are prepared for meaningful lives and careers. Recently, he served as a guest speaker in the global commerce program.

Rob and his wife of 47 years, Carla, are the proud parents of two sons, Mark and Danny, and grandparents to six grandchildren. They divide their time between Cincinnati and Tucson, Arizona.
