Warren Sivertsen is the director of public relations for the Armed Services Department of the National Council, part of the Young Men’s Christian Association, and editor of the “Armed Services YMCA News.” He was formerly assistant to the president of Denison University and director of admissions at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. He went through five major campaigns in the Pacific with the First Marine Corps Division as commander of the First Pioneer Battalion and as regimental intelligence officer, with rank of major. He received the Navy Unit Citation, two Presidential Citations, two Bronze Star Medals, and the South Pacific Theater Ribbon with six stars. He is now executive officer, 1st Infantry Battalion, U.S.M.C.R.
