An outstanding leader in Licking County whose involvements have made a difference in the quality of life in the community, William McConnell is past-president of the Newark Rotary Club, past-president and former campaign chairman of the Licking County United Way, past-president of the Newark Chamber of Commerce, and former chairman of the board of trustees of the Licking County Hospital Association. Currently he is a director of the Licking County YMCA, the Denison Research Foundation, National Associate of the Boys’ Clubs of America, and trustee of the Ohio Council on Economic Education and member of the Ohio Student Loan Commission.
Bill is president of the Park National bank in Newark and chairman of the Consolidated Computer Center, Inc. He also holds several business directorships. Among his professional associations, Bill is a director and chairman of Group Five of the Ohio Bankers Association and a trustee of the Central Regional Automated Funds Transfer System, Inc.
