While students and faculty are approaching fall semester exams and a well-deserved winter break, the Office of Admission is currently reading applications for the 2026 academic year and making their final push to attract future Denisonians. Jan. 15 marks the final day for prospective first-year students to apply in either a binding early decision or non-binding regular decision round, and we welcome your engagement!
Over the holiday season, it is highly likely you’ll encounter someone in your circle — family or friends, a neighbor, colleagues — who might know someone in the waning stages of their college search. We encourage you to share stories about your time at Denison and discuss how Denisonians are prepared, through rigorous coursework and meaningful relationships, to lead a lifetime of best years.
Denison’s holistic approach to reviewing applications means that no single thing will deter an applicant from being considered. Every application is read by multiple professional staff members before a decision is rendered. Best of all, although admission is highly competitive, applying to Denison couldn’t be simpler. There is no cost to apply for admission, no supplemental essay to complete, and testing is optional. Denison operates under a no-harm test-optional policy — meaning that students are not penalized if they choose to forgo standardized testing as part of their application — and while interviewing is highly recommended, it is not required for admission. Denison accepts the Common Application, the Coalition Application, and the QuestBridge Application. For students applying for financial aid, Denison also requires the FAFSA and CSS Profile to be submitted by Jan. 15.
As always, if there is a prospective student you would like to nominate for admission, please complete the Alumni Recommendation Form. Thank you for spreading the word about the wonderful things happening at Denison — we appreciate your support!
