A respected critic and interpreter of the visual arts, Louise Eisele Collins’ writings display the depth of her sensitivity to the beauty and transcendence of the artistic spirit.
Art critic and columnist for the Toledo Blade since 1953, she has garnered nine first prizes from the Ohio Newspaper Women’s Association for the critical writing and received one of only five scholarships awarded to art critics outside of New York City granted by the National Endowment on the Arts. She is a regular contributor to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and various professional magazines.
