Amy Sibert Lovett developed a passion for philanthropic and service leadership in high school, and these early commitments continue to define her legacy. Amy co-founded Keystone Montessori School in Charlotte, N.C., in 2013, along with her husband, Rob, and has been an active contributor to causes related to early childhood education, breast cancer awareness, women’s collective giving, eradicating homelessness, and adolescent mental health.
Amy graduated from Denison in 1984 with her Bachelor of Arts in art history. As a student, Amy was an active sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and credits her time on campus for shaping her life in a positive way.
Following graduation, Amy launched into her professional life, accepting a job with Oracle Corporation during the early days of Silicon Valley’s tech scene. Her journey with Oracle took her from Washington, D.C., to the company’s San Francisco Bay Area headquarters, where she flourished in the fast-paced, start-up atmosphere, quickly advancing through a progression of roles, first as a field office receptionist and ultimately as director of customer experience and advisor to the CEO. After leaving Oracle, Amy leveraged that experience to build a successful management consulting practice serving other burgeoning organizations throughout the Bay Area.
In 1996, Amy and Rob left San Francisco to start a family in Charlotte, N.C., where the city’s supportive environment for raising children and cultivating healthy families and commitment to community philanthropy helped them quickly feel at home.
Her passion for philanthropy and service leadership has truly been a constant thread throughout Amy’s life, and her generous spirit extends to Denison. Amy has served her alma mater as a leadership volunteer, career launch volunteer, Reunion gift committee chair, a member of both the Family Leadership Council and the Board of Advisors, a regional volunteer, a Denison Everywhere host, and a consistent admission ambassador. Amy and Rob enthusiastically supported the Ann & Thomas Hoaglin Wellness Center at Denison and continue to give regularly to the college’s highest priorities through the Annual Fund. She exemplifies what it means to be an engaged Denisonian.
Amy and Rob reside in Charlotte, N.C., and have two children, Sophie, a Denison graduate from the Class of 2018, and Bo.
