Rev. Dr. George Heaton is a recognized minister who has become one of the strongest of spiritual forces in church life and among workers and managers of industry throughout the south and east of the United States.
Called to the pastorate of the Myers Park Baptist Church in Charlotte in 1943, his 14 years of service there infused it with a new vitality and rekindled a new warmth of spiritual purpose in both the church and community. Dr. Heaton is a pioneer in the field of religious education, a devoted public servant who has given time, talents, and energy to the problems of human relations in our economic and community lives, and a force in Christian missions both in this country and in Europe.
