It’s time for baseball!
Come and celebrate the Big Red Baseball Program as we kick off the 2020 season at the fifth annual Denison First Pitch Banquet.
The evening’s program features remarks from Denison Head Coach Mike Deegan and the 2020 Big Red seniors, as well as a keynote address by Big Red baseball standout Kevin McMullen ’82.
McMullen is a 1982 graduate of Denison University, where he majored in economics and graduated with highest honors. While at Denison, he started for the Big Red baseball team for four years and received the James B. Sayers, Jr. memorial award as the top scholar-athlete. Kevin went on to earn his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and held various leadership positions with premier companies such as McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, General Electric Co. and became Chairman and C.E.O. of OMNOVA Solutions — a position he held for over seventeen years until his recent retirement. OMNOVA is listed on the New York Stock Exchange with revenues of over $1 billion, 2,100 employees, and is a global innovator and manufacturer of specialty chemicals, engineered surfaces, and performance materials. In 2016, Kevin received the Denison Alumni Citation Award for his professional achievement and community service. Currently, Kevin serves on a number of non-profit and for-profit boards and advises several private equity firms. He lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, with his wife Ilene, 17-year-old twin sons who also play baseball, and daughter who is a student-athlete at the University of Georgia.
