While charting the alarming rise of disinformation in the digital age and its corrosive effects on democratic culture, Rauch shares historical precedents, and offers positive practical measures that every concerned American can take. He will explain why he believes universities must play a central role in promoting intellectual pluralism and freedom of thought, thereby helping to sustain liberal society.
Adam Davis, Professor of History and Director of Denison’s Lisska Center for Scholarly Engagement, and Steve Vogel, Professor of Philosophy, will serve as moderators.
This online event is part of the Lisska Center for Scholarly Engagement’s Monday Musings series and is open to all members of the Denison community. Attendees will be emailed the Zoom link in their registration confirmation and before the event.
