Join us for a good-spirited community discussion about artificial intelligence.

Join us for a good-spirited community discussion about artificial intelligence.

At a time when many college campuses are struggling to maintain civil discourse and foster the constructive, respectful exchange of ideas, Denison is leading the way in promoting open expression and working together across differences.

Experience for yourself how Denison is turning these values into action at a special event in Washington, D.C.!

All Denison alums, families, and friends are invited to this fun, interactive debate on the question, “Does artificial intelligence have the potential to cause more harm to humanity than good?”

Attendees will be able to participate in the discussion and share their perspectives.

Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided. Many thanks to Denison alum Casey Chroust ’97, chief customer officer at Optoro, for hosting this event at the company’s headquarters.

We hope you will join us for this night of intellectual inquiry and humility.

Getting to Optoro

If using public transit, the closest metro stop to the venue is Metro Center. The Optoro offices are located across the street from the exit at 11th and G St NW.

If you plan to drive, there is a paid parking garage in the building at 716 N 10th St NW. More information and rates are available online.

When entering the building, you will check in at the security desk and be let up to the 12th floor. The exterior office building doors lock at 7 p.m. If you arrive after this time, enter through the Grand Hyatt doors and use the internal doors to access the office building.

This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni & Family Engagement and the Lisska Center for Intellectual Engagement at Denison in partnership with Braver Angels and ACTA (American Council of Trustees and Alumni).
