Join us to celebrate the university’s recent successes and learn what’s in store for our “fair college on the hill.”

We invite you to join President Adam Weinberg and area Denisonians for this free reception to celebrate the university’s recent successes. Held at the historic Athletic Club of Columbus, the evening includes appetizers, refreshments, and remarks from President Weinberg about what’s in store for “the home we love so well.” Steve Krak, Director of Red Frame Lab, and Colleen Boyle, a current senior, will share more about how students use design thinking and entrepreneurial approaches to solve challenging problems for real clients.

You also have the unique opportunity to participate in a workshop immediately before the reception called Designing Your Next Five. This innovative program, developed by Denison’s Austin E. Knowlton Center for Career Exploration, seeks to help alums answer the question, “What does it mean to build a well-lived and joyful life?” See below for additional details.

Both events are open to all Denison alums, families, and friends, but space is limited.

Parking is available at the parking ACC surface lot on the east side of Fourth Street between State and Broad at 30 S. 4th St. Hosted valet will also be available at the club entrance. Please mention you are there with Denison University when handing over your car.

Business casual attire is highly recommended.

Knowlton Career Center Seminar: Designing Your Next Five

The Austin E. Knowlton Center for Career Exploration has developed a workshop called Designing Your Next Five to help young alums prepare for that first year or two, even five years after Denison. The core idea of the workshop is based on the book “Designing Your Life,” the New York Times bestseller from Bill Burnett and Dale Evans, two authors from Stanford University. Denison’s Designing Your Next Five workshop starts by asking alumni to create a mind map around the central question, “What does it mean to have a well-lived and joyful life?” This session will take place at the Athletic Club of Columbus, just steps from the Presidential Reception taking place immediately following.

Spend your evening connecting with other alums, family, and friends of Denison at the Athletic Club of Columbus located downtown! Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided. Hear directly from President Adam Weinberg on the current state of the college and exciting opportunities ahead!
