The Denison University Wind Ensemble presents “SINGLY NONE,” a Video Premiere Concert.

In their first concert since the beginning of the pandemic, the DU Wind Ensemble reflects on what it means to create something together in a uniquely challenging time. The concert features a wide range of music, from 16th-century Venetian music inspired by the great space of St. Mark’s Basilica to a brand new work by Katahj Copley written in response to the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020.

The concert explores profound loneliness in John Mackey’s “This Cruel Moon” and the joy of togetherness in selections from Percy Grainger’s “Lincolnshire Posy.” They welcome Justin T Swain as a guest artist and soloist in Armando Bayolo’s “Last Breaths.”

The concert will remain available for viewing on-demand through 8 p.m. EDT on June 11.
