In addition, you have the opportunity to register for a “Designing Your Life” special pre-event session from 5 to 6 p.m. This event is especially great for alums who are considering their next steps in life.

Taylor Nissi ’08
Co-founder and Managing Partner, Pleasant Street Wealth Advisors
Taylor provides high-impact financial advice and guidance to individuals, businesses, and families. He is also especially adept at working with business owners of all stages to help them build valuable transferrable businesses. Taylor holds both Certified Financial Planner and Certified Exit Planning Advisor designations. His company, Pleasant Street Wealth Advisors, is on a mission to help people have confidence, peace of mind, and clarity in their financial life, leaving them with more time and energy to spend on the people and passions that bring them joy.
Shavely Peralta ’11
Senior Manager, Corporate Communications at JetBlue Airways
Driven by a passion for effective communication and social impact, Shavely is a seasoned corporate communications professional with a diverse background spanning the airline and media industries. Currently on the corporate communications team at JetBlue Airways, Shavely was most recently leading the communication strategy for the proposed merger efforts between JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines. With a foundation built on a B.A. in communications and Spanish from Denison University and an M.A. in education and social change from the University of Miami, Shavely brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and empathy to her work. Prior to JetBlue, Shavely honed her skills at Univision Communications, Inc., where she spearheaded media relations and corporate social responsibility initiatives, leaving a lasting mark through projects like the launch of Univision’s first employee volunteer program and the coordination of nationwide voter registration efforts during the 2016 U.S. election. Shavely has received accolades such as the Cablefax Overachiever Under 30 Award and was selected for Univision’s Women’s Leadership Council Academy.
Ray Walker ’22
Production Assistant
NBC News NOW
Ray is a production assistant for NBC and is frequently pitching stories, editing videos, preparing scripts and graphics, and more. He graduated from Denison in 2022 with a degree in communications and a minor in anthropology/sociology. While on campus, Ray was connected to various communities, including Greek Life, Black Student Union, the Center of Belonging and Inclusion, The Denisonian, and much more. His involvement and commitment to the college is further demonstrated by his selection as a President’s Medal recipient and his service as a Recent Student Trustee, a board position with the college.
